PAYTON MCGREW

Payton McGrew, originally from Charleston, SC, began dancing at the age of three and trained in many different styles before deciding to focus on ballet when she was fourteen. She trained at Classical Ballet Centre under the direction of Melania Ballish Reguerio and during her time there, she participated in two Youth American Grand Prixs (top 12 in ensemble); performed lead roles in The Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, and Les Sylphides; performed alongside Charlotte Ballet during tours in Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux's The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty; and passed the Level 6 ABT NTC exam elavulated by Franco De Vita. Last year Payton attended Point Park University as a ballet concentration student. She has also spent summers training with Ballet Austin, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, and University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Payton is excited to be returning to Ballet Hartford this season!
