Young Dancer Program

Creative Movement
School of Ballet Hartford’s Creative Movement classes are for young dancers ages 3-4 years. This 45 min class emphasizes the development of motor skills, emotional expression, musicality and the joy of dance.

Pre- Ballet

Pre Ballet (5-6 years) is a continuation of creative movement and introduces foundational vocabulary and terminology. Students will enjoy a basic warm up, center movement and begin simple work at the barre. Creativity, rhythm and coordination are fostered in a joyful environment.

Ballet Sapphire

Ballet Sapphire is a foundational class in which students are formally introduced to ballet vocabulary and learn movement in a disciplined manner. While creative movement and expression is still a major emphasis of this class; students will begin to learn and build on these themes a la barre and in center practice.

Ballet Pearl

Ballet Pearl is geared for the serious minded student and is by invitation only. Students are expected to comprehend at a quickened pace and learn choreography while maintaining their strong technical foundation.

Adult Program

Adult classes are offered in ballet for the beginner/intermediate dancer. Whether you danced as a child or have always wanted to learn ballet, this class is perfect and while it includes a broad range of levels, offers exceptional individual attention.
