Audition for Ballet Hartford
Ballet Hartford is seeking Apprentices and Trainees for the 2026-2027 Season.
Interested applicants:
Complete Online Registration with $30 application fee (deadline April 4th, 2026)
2. Send video audition including 3-5 center combinations en pointe and/or performance footage (preferred) AND resume to Company Manager, Hannah Bush at hbush@ballethartford.com - VIDEO NO LONGER THAN 3 MINUTES PLEASE
3. Artistic Director, Claire Kretzschmar will respond with an invitation to company class/rehearsal if desired.

Ballet Hartford’s season runs September through May including main stage performances in Hartford, throughout the northeast and across the country. Ballet Hartford also engages in outreach events to serve our community.

Dancers are responsible for their own housing. Some choose to rent houses or apartments together. Our staff can assist Dancers in finding housing.

Most Dancers work evenings and weekends. There are many businesses in the surrounding areas that are suitable for finding work.

It is recommended that dancers have a car for ease in transportation.

Ballet Hartford observes standard holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas and certain observed holidays.

Many of Ballet Hartford’s professional dancers have already graduated from college or university. Some dancers who are pursuing higher education while dancing with Ballet Hartford choose to take night classes at local community colleges or take courses online.

Ballet Hartford Company Artists are permitted to dress for class and rehearsal as is fitting to a Professional Ballet Company.
