TAYLOR FALB
Born and raised near Daytona Beach, Florida, Taylor began training in ballet, tap and gymnastics at the age of 3. She later added hiphop, jazz, and contemporary classes while dancing at a local recreational studio. At age 8, she joined the junior division of the Professional Track program at European School of Performing Arts in Ormond Beach, under the direction of Germaine Bledsoe. Over the next eight years, Taylor worked her way up to the top level of the program, performing in works such as Giselle, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Coppelia, Aladdin, The Wizard of Oz, Cats, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, A Christmas Carol, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Babes in Toyland. During the holiday season she performed in Civic Ballet of Volusia County’s Nutcracker, working with incredible guest artists such as ABT’s Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beleserkovsky. While at ESPA, Taylor had the opportunity to work with Michelle Boutros, who would become a pivotal figure inher dance training. In 2021, Taylor joined Ormond Ballet, under the direction of Michelle Boutros & Jeremiah Garner. At Ormond Ballet, Taylor worked closely with Ms. Boutros, Mr. Garner, and Vaganova Master Instructor, Zhanna Dubrovskaya, to improve and refine both her technique and character development. In hertime at Ormond Ballet, Taylor had the opportunity to dance the roles of Dewdrop Fairy (2021) & Sugar Plum Fairy (2022) in The Nutcracker, Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty, and the titular role of Giselle in Ormond Ballet’s presentation of Giselle. Taylor has supplemented her training through the years by attending summer intensives at Next Generation Ballet under the direction of former NYC Ballet Principal, Philip Neal, from 2017-2019, Ballet Austin under the direction of Stephen Mills in 2022, and attending master classes with Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Giordano Dance, Hubbard Street Dance, James Kinney of Broadway Dance Center NY, and Broadway Chicago. Taylor has a passion for dance and breathing life into every character on stage. She also loves lobster rolls and is very excited to join Ballet Hartford for the 2023-24 season!
