SARAH GENZER

Sarah began her training at Vickers Dance Studio in Kingston, Jamaica under the tutelage of Elizabeth Samuda, earning passes with Merit and Distinction in her RAD exams. Through middle and high school, Sarah trained with Jackie Stanton-Conley and Ruth Mayer at White River Ballet Academy in Vermont before graduating in 2019. Once a high school graduate, she spent a year at Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory’s Post Graduate Program under Victoria Mazzarelli, Joan Kunsch, Elanor D’Antuono, Tim Melady, Denise Limoli, and Alexei Tchernichov. She spent the last three years as a trainee with BalletMet under Olivia Omardien, Carrie West-Suslov, Dmitri Suslov, Maria Torija, Andres Estevez, Scott Brown, and Zoica Tovar. Sarah has had the opportunity to perform in many classical as well as neoclassical ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Gerard Charles’ The Nutcracker, and Balanchine’s Western Symphony and Walpurgisnacht. Sarah is excited to take the next step in her professional career as an apprentice with Ballet Hartford and can’t wait to see what this season will bring.
