  • MARCH, Brookdale West Hartford: Ballet Hartford welcomed residents from Brookdale West Hartford for an exclusive and accessible performance.

    MAY, Noah Webster Library: Ballet Hartford performed excerpts from “Alice in Wonderland” for young children and parents at a Toddler Time event.

    OCTOBER, Dancing from the Heart: With excitement, Ballet Hartford participated in Dancing from the Heart after a pandemic-related hiatus. It was a joy to continue supporting local artists and Child Life at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.

    NOVEMBER, Hartford Public Library: Ballet Hartford performed excerpts from “The Nutcracker: Then and Now” in the atrium of the downtown branch for library staff and guests.

  • MARCH, March of Dimes: Ballet Hartford joined other local artists to perform at The Dance Collective’s benefit concert for March of Dimes, raising support fo mothers and babies.

  • OCTOBER, Dancing from the Heart: Ballet Hartford returned to support Child Life at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital as a part of Dancing from the Heart.

  • JUNE, Evergreen Woods: It was a joy to return to Evergreen Woods Retirement Facility (North Branford, CT) on June 10, 2017. Ballet Hartford and Connecticut Youth Ballet presented excerpts of Swan Lake for residents and their families.

    JUNE, Blackstone Memorial Library: Ballet Hartford was delighted to offer an interactive reading of “Swan Lake” authored by Margot Fonteyn at the Blackstone Memorial Library in Branford, CT on June 1, 2017. As a part of this event, led by company artist Lauren Rutledge, participants were able to meet and dance with fully costumed enchanted swans from our Spring Performance featuring Act II of this classic tale.

    OCTOBER, Dancing from the Heart: Ballet Hartford joined with other local artists on October 14, 2017 to perform in Clinton CT’s historic town hall as part of Dancing from the Heart, to benefit Child Life at Yale New Haven Children’s hospital.

  • JUNE, Evergreen Woods: Ballet Hartford and the students of Connecticut Youth Ballet joined together to share an excerpt of The Nutcracker: Act II with the residents of Evergreen Woods Retirement Facility on December 3, 2016.

    DECEMBER, Blackstone Memorial Library: Ballet Hartford company artist Kathleen Hennessy gave a delightful reading of E.T.A. Hoffman’s “The Nutcracker” at the Blackstone Memorial Library in Branford, CT on December 3, 2016. After the reading, Hennessy led the listeners in a demonstration with the help of Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy.

    DECEMBER, Smilow Cancer Center: Ballet Hartford was honored to be invited to present The Nutcracker: Act II to the patients and families of Smilow Cancer Hospital (New Haven, CT) on December17, 2016 as a part of “Arts for Healing.”

    DECEMBER, Ross Woodward Classical Studies School: On December 8, 2016, Ballet Hartford performed at Ross Woodward in New Haven, CT as part of the 2016 Bridges of Hope Christmas celebration.
