She received her foundational and pre-professional training at The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, where she studied under esteemed faculty including Victoria Mazzarelli, Timothy Melady, Joan Kunsch, Donna Bonasera, Alexei Tchernichov, and Eleanor D’Antuono. Upon graduating from Nutmeg’s pre-professional program, Caitlyn joined Fort Wayne Ballet as a trainee under the direction of Karen Gibbons-Brown.
Caitlyn has trained extensively in Vaganova ballet, pointe, partnering, modern, and character dance, with additional experience in jazz, musical theater, and Pilates. Her training has been further enriched through summer programs at ABT, Ballet Rhode Island, Fort Wayne Ballet, CPYB, The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, and the Maritime Conservatory for Performing Arts in Halifax. In addition to her dance education, she enjoys coaching and mentoring young students. She is also an accomplished figure skater who finds joy in bringing her artistry and movement quality to the ice.
Highlights in her repertoire include the Sugar Plum Fairy, Dewdrop Fairy, and Snow Queen from The Nutcracker, Aurora’s Wedding Pas de Deux, The Rose Adagio, and grand pas de deux from Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, and Act III of La Bayadère, along with a range of classical variations and contemporary works (such as Solar Flares from Moses Pendleton’s MOMIX). Caitlyn has also danced corps de ballet roles in Fort Wayne Ballet’s professional productions of The Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet, appeared as a guest artist with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet and Dimensional Dance, and performed in the Hallmark film Sugar Plum Twist. Caitlyn has found great joy in dancing with Ballet Hartford and feels fortunate to study under the esteemed faculty in such a supportive and inspiring environment!
