MEGHAN KELLER
Meghan Keller, originally from Duxbury, Massachusetts, started her early dance training with Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre, performing in their productions of The Nutcracker every year. She furthered her training at South Shore Ballet Theatre, primarily studying classical ballet. In 2024, Meghan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hartford, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet Pedagogy with a minor in Business Administration. While at the Hartt School, she broadened her view of dance, studying many different styles of dance including classical ballet technique with Stephen Pier, Hilda Morales, and Debra Collins Ryder, José Limón technique with Nina Watt, Martha Graham technique with Miki Orihara and Ralph Perkins, and contemporary dance forms with Katie Stevinson-Nollet. Throughout her college career, she performed a diverse repertoire including works by the Hartt School faculty, guest choreographers such as Hope Boykin and Thomas Vacanti, and classic works by Marius Petipa, José Limón, and Martha Graham. She was honored to have invaluable opportunities, performing Martha Graham’s Primitive Mysteries at the 2023 University Partners Showcase at the Joyce Theater in New York, training at the 2023 Limon Italia workshop in Rome Italy, and dancing as one of the first young artists at the 2024 Trentino Music and Dance Festival in Primiero, Italy. She hopes to continue to spread her love of dance through performing, choreographing, and teaching. Meghan is so excited to begin her second season with Ballet Hartford!
